Women’s History Month: The women of VaginaPagina.com

In honor of Women’s History Month 2011, I’ve selected one woman to profile every day from March 1st - March 31st, 2011.

VaginaPagina: a volunteer-run website dedicated to giving real information about sexual health

Founded in 2001, VaginaPagina is an online community that offers a supportive, progressive, body- and sex-positive environment in which to discuss issues related to female sexual and reproductive health and wellness. It is a unique, empowerment-based safe space that is GLBTQQIA- and kink-friendly. Our goal is to build knowledge and combat misinformation by sharing personal experiences and reliable information from credible sources.

I can’t express to you how much I love VaginaPagina and how thrilled I am that the Livejournal community is still active. The women there have worked their asses off to provide a wealth of information. Personally, I never really posted or commented there too much, but I’ve used VagPag as a source on multiple occasions (including educating friends) and the site is really amazing. If you have any questions about sexual health, it should always be your first stop.

(Yeah, I know this one is late, but I’m slipping it in at 11:47 pm, so it totally counts for 3.22. Nyah nyah.)
